Alongside Hope (formerly the Primate's World Relief and Development Fund (PWRDF)

Alongside Hope is the Anglican Church of Canada’s agency for sustainable development and relief. Since 1958, they have worked hand-in-hand with trusted partners in Canada and around the world, on a journey of positive change. Together, they are improving health, food security and livelihoods where needs are greatest.

Alongside Hope receives donations from people across Canada. If you are interested in learning more and/or donating, information material, can be found on the table, by the Outreach Bulletin Board in the St. John’s parish hall.

 The Anglican Journal and Huron Church News

We have paper copies of the Anglican Journal and the Huron Church News posted on the board, in the parish hall at St. John’s. If you are interested in receiving a paper copy delivered to your home, please call 1-866-924-9192, Ext 245. These publications are published from September to June.

 Rev. Jim writes a monthly article for the Huron Church News, which we now have posted on our website. Here is the link, for easy access.

 Each week the people of St. Johns by-the-Lake recognize one of its Christian family. Today, in our prayers, we hold before God Darrell Wiebe and Terry Finlay, and those they love. May the love and protection of our Lord Jesus Christ be with them today and always.

 Mr. Fred Clarke passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends on August 28th. Details will be on the Haskett Funeral Homes website. Arrangements will be made within the next couple of months.
